Outworld Barrier Oil – The reliable barrier against escaping ants

Opening the outworld for feeding or maintenance of your ant farm becomes much more relaxed when you know that the worker ants can't simply climb over the edge. Our **Outworld Barrier Oil** is the ideal, animal-friendly solution to keep an active colony neatly contained in their outworld.

How does it work?

Despite the name, this is not a traditional greasy oil, but a carefully formulated mixture based on a fine talc substance. Ant Docking Station

Why a docking station for every nascent colony?

This is where the ant hobby begins. The ultimate start for any colony smaller than 50 workers. The small colony in a test tube needs shelter, a quiet place. Many ant species can benefit from a nice warm temperature, and you want to be able to connect your test tube to an arena in a good and aesthetically pleasing way. Making a connection between the test tube and the arena is always the first step in the hobby. After this is done, the colony can collect food from the arena and dispose of their waste. Ants are true master builders, but they need the right material to dig a safe nest. Ordinary sand quickly collapses when it dries.
